U.S. and Ukraine Hold Peace Talks in Florida to End War

**U.S. and Ukraine Hold Peace Talks in Florida to End War**

Top negotiators from the United States and Ukraine met in Palm Beach, Florida, on November 30, 2025, to discuss options for ending the war in Ukraine. The meeting took place behind closed doors and involved senior officials and advisors from both countries. It marks one of the most serious dialogues yet between Kyiv and Washington about potential steps toward a negotiated peace with Russia.

The talks come as the war in Ukraine enters its fourth year with no clear end in sight. U.S. officials said the purpose of the Florida meeting was to explore what kind of deal could be possible if Russia and Ukraine eventually agree to sit down for formal talks. While no agreements were made, participants described the meetings as “constructive” and “focused.”

Although Russia was not part of the Florida discussions, the U.S. delegation reportedly examined different scenarios in which Ukraine could regain control of its territory and secure long-term guarantees of safety. Ukrainian officials expressed concerns about giving up land or making permanent concessions, emphasizing their desire to fully restore national borders.

Officials familiar with the discussions said the United States has not changed its position and still supports Ukraine’s right to fight for its territory. However, U.S. leaders are increasingly interested in preparing for diplomatic solutions, especially as fighting has stalled in parts of the front lines and international support for military aid faces more scrutiny.

The Florida weekend meeting also included conversations about future military aid, rebuilding Ukraine, and how to increase pressure on Russia through international sanctions. American and Ukrainian officials agreed to continue discussions over the coming weeks.

While no date has been set for future peace negotiations with Russia directly, the talks reflect growing interest in creating a plan in case a ceasefire becomes possible. NATO allies and European leaders are being kept informed privately, though they have not been formally involved in this specific meeting.

The meeting in Florida signals a possible shift toward more open conversations about peace, even during ongoing conflict. Both sides agreed to maintain regular contact going forward.
